We are delighted to offer for sale this extremely rare and highly collectible Saint Remy marble fireplace, dating from around 1840-1860, in the Louis XVI style. This fireplace is one of three purchased, originating from Paris, France, and made of Saint Remy marble. There are two large examples from the mid-19th century and one extra-large piece from the 18th century. It comes from a friend and colleague who specialises in architectural salvage from châteaux in Belgium, France, Switzerland, and surrounding areas. The piece has been carefully transported and is in very good condition, disassembling into four easy-to-transport and install parts. The top of the fireplace has a space at the back allowing it to be recessed into the wall for stability. The condition is excellent for its age, with signs of use and a natural patina as expected. Please refer to the detailed photos that are an integral part of the condition description. External dimensions: Height 100.5 cm, Width 159 cm, Depth 35 cm. Internal dimensions for the hearth: Height 78 cm, Width 107 cm, Depth 35 cm. Disassembled dimensions: Sides x2: H 96.5 cm, W 22 cm, D 35 cm; Central part: H 18.5 cm, W 121.5 cm, D 7 cm; Top part: H 3 cm, W 159 cm, D 23.5 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. Condition: good, with wear consistent with age and use, slight discolouration. This product is available in different sizes with lengths, widths, and heights varying as indicated.
