The Murano glass vase in blue/azure is characterized by a base and decorations in wrought iron, which wrap around the vase with motifs of grapevines and leaves. It is an antique piece dating back to the 1930s, in Art Nouveau style, created by the artist Umberto Bellotto (Venice 1882-1940). Bellotto invented and patented (1910) with architect Cesare Aurienti the technique of combining iron and glass, creating metal structures with blown glass elements inside, for which he relied mainly on the glass masters Barovier and Toso, sometimes collaborating with the artist Vittorio Zecchin for the glass. The vase features an aesthetic that combines the elegance of blown glass with the robustness and artistry of wrought iron. In excellent vintage condition, with wear consistent with age and use, typical patina on the wrought iron; glass intact. Indicative dimensions: Total height 34 cm. Height of blue glass vase 28.5 cm. Diameter of blue glass vase 15 cm. Base width 21 cm.
