Porcelain asparagus set with barbel decoration

Superb and graceful porcelain asparagus service with painted decoration called "barbel" (designating cornflowers), including a serving dish and eleven plates. Late 19th / early 20th century. Not stamped. Scalloped edges with fine gold gilt borders and wings adorned with decorative moldings, all enhanced with humble and delicate floral motifs. In very good condition, no chips or cracks. A few traces of use here and there, very anecdotal. It is a real favorite that stands out from the many barbotine proposals. Dimensions: Plates: 24 X 24 X 2.5 cm / Serving dish: 37.5 X 25 X 5 cm.
