Restored Art Deco Low Display Cabinet TV Console Curved Glass 1930s

This furniture is a masterclass in pre-war cabinetmaking, utilizing three distinct, luxurious wood species. The robust main structure and the elegant door frames are crafted from solid oak, ensuring absolute stability. Opening the doors reveals a breathtaking interior; the back panel and the long, sturdy shelf are fully veneered in rich, exotic mahogany, providing a warm backdrop for your items. Finally, the expansive 152 cm top surface is covered in highly figured European walnut veneer. EXCEPTIONAL CURVED AND BEVELED GLASS The architectural silhouette embodies the Streamline Moderne aesthetic with its aerodynamic curves. The rounded side doors feature their original curved glass panes. Notably, the edges of this curved glass have been meticulously beveled by hand. This was an incredibly costly 1930s artisanal technique that acts like a crystal prism, brilliantly refracting light and adding a jewelry-like quality to the piece. FUNCTIONALITY AND PROPORTIONS Despite its impressive length of 152 cm, the cabinet is incredibly slender, with a depth of only 33.5 cm. It will not overwhelm your living space or block pathways, making it the ultimate space-saving TV console. It features three doors, and remarkably, a single original key smoothly operates all three functional locks. The piece rests on newly crafted, matching solid oak turned bun feet. RESTORATION AND FINISH The cabinet has undergone an uncompromising restoration in our specialized workshop. All degraded historical varnishes were meticulously stripped down to the bare wood. The entire piece was then finished with premium, eco-friendly hard wax oil. This modern, high-end treatment provides a natural, satin-matte touch that highlights the grain and protects the surface against moisture and daily use, completely avoiding the artificial gloss of synthetic lacquers. The interior is flawlessly clean. DIMENSIONS Width: 152 cm. Depth: 33.5 cm. Height: 76 cm. Style: Art Deco, Streamline Moderne. Period: 1930s.
