Southern France stool in glazed ceramic

Terracotta pedestal with a typical flamed decoration from the artisanal productions of southern France, in the spirit of Anduze or Castelnaudary pottery. It features a superb glaze in honey and ochre yellow tones enhanced with green drips. Its column shape gives it an ideal presence at the end of a sofa or as a plant stand. Handcrafted, probably from the 1960s–70s. Very good overall condition: there is slight wear on the upper surface due to time and objects placed on it, as well as a discreet lack of glaze on the edge.
