Large low sideboard designed by JC Mahey, who notably worked on the production of furniture and lighting for Hermes and Pierre Cardin in the 1970s, always paying particular attention to detail and the quality of materials. Mahey was recognised for his work with numerous awards, including the prestigious René Gabriel prize in 1977. Here is a large sideboard comprising 2 modules with hinged doors. The structure is made of ivory lacquered wood, highlighted by polished brass finishes. The front of the piece features 4 panels of slightly pink-tinted smoked mirror that captures light and creates a subtle play of reflections. The interior of the doors is in textured beige velvet. This low sideboard is ideal as a TV unit or contemporary buffet. It is in very good condition considering its age and use, with no breaks or damage. This piece is part of a collection that also includes a matching item, which is available and could complement this piece for a more majestic version if space allows (see photos or in our shop).
