Superb set of three geometric and minimalist candlesticks made from genuine fossiliferous marble (lumachelle stone), in a purely brutalist style, dating from the 1970s-1980s. Carved from solid blocks, they stand out for their incredible polished mineral matrix that reveals stunning cross-sections of prehistoric marine fossils (shells, ammonites). Each face offers a unique geological tableau, graphic and visually rich. This lot features a beautiful play of heights, with a particularly rare centerpiece rising to 21 cm. This set has a very nice sculptural presence and will fit perfectly on a sideboard or coffee table. In the style of Italian productions by Fratelli Mannelli.
