Model 601 ‘the director’ table lamp by anvia nederland, the netherlands, 1950s this original model 601, known as ‘the director’, was produced by anvia nederland during the 1950s. The lamp features a distinctive asymmetrical silhouette, combining a large curved metal shade with a slender black frame and sculptural t-shaped base. The shade can be adjusted using the brass joint, allowing the light to be directed where needed. Its off-white finish, black frame and aged brass details create a refined contrast typical of dutch mid-century modern design. A small push-button switch is integrated into the top of the shade. This original 1950s example is in very good vintage condition, with only minor traces of age and use. Part of the original anvia label remains present. An elegant and highly characteristic table lamp that combines functional adjustability with a strong sculptural presence.
