In the tradition of Marcel Breuer, Le Corbusier, Mart Stam, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, French people contributed to the design of the Bahaus, mainly Emile Guillot, René Herbst who worked for Thonet between 1929 and 1939. There was a painted model of the B132 and another model whose balls are made of wood (see photo attached) Here is a coat rack on foot N°B132, designed by Emile Guillot for Thonet in nickel-plated steel, it is found in the Thonet catalog of 1934. The workmanship is remarkable, the condition is perfect, in its own juice, some pitting in the lower part gives it a light patina. Dimensions: H: 180 cm, the base is contained in an equilateral triangle of 50 cm on each side, in line with the head of this parrot. This object is stamped with a number below one leg. Shipping France, Switzerland, Belgium possible, collection Alsace. For other destinations, please ask us.
