A vase from the 1970s, produced in Poland (Huta Wołomin), made of hand-formed glass in a monochromatic yellow colour with an amber undertone, representing a postmodern interpretation of mid-century modern style. The sculptural, twisted form features a dynamically wavy surface and an irregular, undulating edge. The glass is thick and transparent, uniformly coloured in a warm shade, and the glossy surface enhances the depth of colour and highlights the organic folds. The vase is free from visible seams and decorations in other materials; it has no metal or wooden elements. There are no visible damages, chips, or significant signs of use. Condition: very good – the product has retained its original character and authenticity, with only minor, typical signs of age, without restoration intervention. This vase is a voice of the 1970s – a time when glassworks experimented with form and colour, using free gestures and controlled randomness to give glass sculptural qualities. The crumpled texture and intense, luminous colour reflect that era's search for expression and a new decorative language. In the rocky, twisted form, one can see echoes of the freedom of design of that time: an object that, like a frozen stream of amber, emits light and colour, fitting into the rational current of mid-century modern, where form serves function. The vase will work well in a living room – it can be placed on a simple walnut wood chest of drawers or a low transparent glass table to bring out the play of intense colour and light. Combined with matte ceramic vessels, it will highlight the contrast of textures; in the company of soft, neutral textiles, it will complement eclectic or modernist interiors. It is worth pairing it with plants with dark, expressive leaves or with an organic sculpture – a proposal for collectors who appreciate the individual character of 1970s glass.
