A classic of Polish communist-era design – the monumental "Sękacz" vase from the Ząbkowice glassworks in Ząbkowice Śląskie (42 cm) For sale is an impressive, exceptionally tall glass vase from the communist era, produced by the renowned Ząbkowice glassworks in Ząbkowice Śląskie. This iconic, highly sought-after model boasts a unique organic aesthetic, constituting one of the most recognizable symbols of Polish glass design of the period. Distinguishing features: Unique, "knotty" style: The vase is characterized by an elongated, soaring form with sculpted projections and burrs reminiscent of the structure of a tree trunk or wood knots. The presented piece is a multicolored, streaked composition, intertwining dynamic shades of red, orange, yellow, and green at the base. Air bubbles: As a handcrafted product, the glass naturally contains tiny air bubbles trapped within its mass, giving it a unique character and attesting to the traditional production process at the Ząbkowice glassworks. Technical specifications: Manufacturer: Ząbkowice Glassworks (Ząbkowice Śląskie, Poland) Model: Sękacz (Sękacz) Production period: 1960s/70s/80s.
