Vintage American armchair 1950

American wooden and metal armchair, swivelling and adjustable in height. It is an authentic 1950s american armchair with screw system and steel parts. So the chair is heavy. The previous owners had bought it from an antique dealer many years ago and painted it a little crudely in glossy black. So it was a little sanded and painted in matte black. It is possible to lightly sand the armrests, stops and friction areas to let the wood appear and give it an old side or to leave it as is and allow time to skate it again. It can also be frozen in this colour with a colourless matte varnish. It's in good general condition. As is often the case on these chairs, it should be noted that the chair moves slightly when the chair is at its highest. 48cm in diameter for the seat. 62cm between the two armrests. 43cm high for the lowest seat at the highest 59cm. 76cm high for the low back at the lowest 92cm at the highest.
