Sculptural Space Age double wall light produced in Kamenický Šenov, Czechoslovakia, in the 1970s. The fixture is composed of two generously proportioned spherical amber glass shades positioned side by side on a long rectangular brass-plated metal base. The hand-crafted character of the glass, including visible bubbles and subtle variations, gives each globe a rich texture and beautiful depth. Its strong geometric composition—two glowing spheres paired with the clean horizontal base—is characteristic of the futuristic Space Age aesthetic of the period and makes the fixture particularly decorative even when switched off. When illuminated, the amber glass creates a warm golden glow and casts atmospheric reflections onto the surrounding wall. An excellent statement light for Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, eclectic and contemporary interiors. The fixture remains in good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use, including natural wear and patina to the metal surfaces, consistent with its age and visible in the photographs. The electrical wiring has been renewed. Fitted with two E26/E27 sockets and compatible with US electrical systems. The lamp will be supplied with a mounting backplate for installation.
