Magnificent and unusual, large vase or jar without a lid, Khabia, handmade ceramic/earthenware, hand-painted Morocco, Fes. Antique, late 19th to early 20th century. Tall shape with a narrow base and body, rounded globe top, short and narrow neck. White earthenware, hand-painted with traditional geometric and floral patterns, stylised, very fine, monochrome cobalt blue. Beautiful detail work. 31cm in height, approximately 17cm maximum diameter, 10cm at the neck and minimum. Very good condition, 4 defects at the neck, possibly original (perhaps from the firing support) slightly visible. Some manufacturing defects, stains, bubbles, and a few discreet small wear marks at the base of the foot. Approximately 2, 500-3kg.
