Gijs bakker Pair of Seatbelt Lounge Chairs + Side Table for Castelijn 1978

Rare pair of seatbelt lounge chairs + table, designed by gijs bakker in 1978 for castelijn netherlands. Not many of these were produced, they were in production for only a very short period. Collectible chairs. There were different models in this series: dining chairs and lounge chairs with and without armrests. These are the lounge chairs without armrests with the ultra rare extra table (52cm X 52), that can be hung in between the chairs. I've never seen this table before. The chairs have a black stained ash wood frame and black nylon seatbelt straps seat and backrest. The table has a black stained ash frame and a black laminated top. Although the chairs are cubic and very straight, the double beams at the backside makes them comfortable to sit in. The chairs are in good original condition, some normal traces of use. The wood connections at the top back corner side has come slightly apart, due to the tension of the belts. This won't be any problem for using, the chairs are still sturdy.
