Set of 4 chairs model 993 designed by Piero Palange and Werther Toffoloni (Studio TIPI) for Montina in the 1970s, Italy. Solid oak structure, painted brown. Curved wooden backrest. The seats are woven strips of soft calfskin. Original Italian production from the 1960s. Studio TiPi was founded by Piero Palange and Werther Toffoloni, and their collaboration lasted until 1975, until the death of Piero Palange. The two architects studied in Venice and continued their work with renowned industries. For Montina, they created two chairs that were later nominated for the 12th edition of the Milan Triennale in 1960. Werther Toffoloni continued to work under the name StudioTipi and won design awards until his death in 2017. CONDITION: very good with small and inevitable signs of age and use.
