Scandinavian pine bench with turnable backrest, 1890s

A classic antique Scandinavian bench with a turnable backrest. A folk art design found through the whole of Scandinavia and often called turn bench (vändbänk) It could be a very useful addition to a hallway or corridor. The bench is in used condition, but still sturdy. At some point in time two parts of the armrests were replaced as can be seen in the photos. There is some evidence of old wood worm to the underside but now long gone. Seat height is 48.5cm.
