Charming oil on panel depicting Lake Tignes (Savoie), created by the Savoyard painter Georges REEB (based in Bissy/Chambéry in the mid-20th century). This post-impressionist work beautifully captures the majesty of the snow-capped peaks and the reflections in the lake with a fine impasto technique (relief of the paint). The contrasts between the warm tones of the sunlit rocks and the blue of the summits are particularly successful. In very good overall condition, ready to be hung.
