Dedalo umbrella stand by Emma Gismondi Schweinberger for Artemide, 1970s

Vintage Dedalo umbrella stand designed by Emma Gismondi Schweinberger in 1966. This space-age icon in cherry red was made by the world-renowned Italian company Artemide. With its characteristic spherical shape and multiple circular openings at the top, it is a stunning example of functional design. Its minimalist elegance, reminiscent of the Italian 1960s, combined with the playfulness of the Space Age era, has captivated a wide audience. This Dedalo is in good vintage condition. It has normal signs of wear (light scratches) and a tiny chip on the bottom that is barely visible (see photo). The umbrella stand is marked on the bottom.
