Refined decoration featuring scattered insects (butterflies, dragonflies, flies), a female figure in baroque costume dancing among flowers, and a winged chimera in the style known as "à la Berain" — an emblematic motif of Moustiers faience inspired by Jean Berain, ornamentalist of Louis XIV. Signed on the reverse: Atelier des Fontaines in Moustiers — EB — 1207.3. Numbered artisan piece, produced by the Atelier des Fontaines in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), a classified village and historical capital of French faience. Original brass mount.
