Danish Brutalist relief sculpture by Max Seidenfaden for SDS, 1970s

Danish Brutalist relief sculpture designed by Max Seidenfaden. This sculpture was manufactured in a limited edition (1000 pieces) by SDS (Seidenfaden Design Studio). This item bears a number (see photo). Inside a frame of polished aluminum is a grid of matte-colored blocks of varying heights. This creates a play of shadows depending on the angle of the light. The object is in beautiful vintage condition with light signs of use consistent with its age. These are light scratches that are not bothersome. Printed at the bottom is the edition number (207/1000), the manufacturer's name, and the designer's signature.
