Vintage Spanish artisan plate (attributed to Talavera - Castile)

Superb decorative plate made of hand-painted faience, originating from the Talavera de la Reina tradition (Castile, Spain), a major centre of Iberian ceramics since the 16th century. Its deep cobalt blue decoration, enhanced with touches of ochre, features two stylised dragons facing each other, surrounded by scrolls and geometric patterns. These mythological creatures are a recurring motif in Talaveran pottery, alongside lions, fish, and baroque symbols. A handcrafted piece full of character, ideal for hanging on the wall or displaying on a sideboard, for a decor rich in colour and Mediterranean charm. Diameter 20 cm. Vintage condition with a few small usage chips on the edge (see photos). A plate with a strong and unique style, perfect for a chic hacienda and sunny bohemian atmosphere.
