Superb large Chinese antique vase in porcelain with a square shape, likely dating from the end of the Qing dynasty or the beginning of the Republic period (circa 1890-1930). This elegant piece is entirely hand-painted in the Famille Rose style and features particularly refined decoration on its four sides: magnificent blooming peonies, birds, a scene of traditional Chinese characters, as well as numerous calligraphic inscriptions. The side handles, shaped like lion masks and adorned with gilded highlights while holding a ring, add a sculptural touch characteristic of porcelain from this era. The vase bears a Chinese seal under the base. With its generous dimensions and the richness of its decoration, it is a statement piece that will fit well in both an Asian porcelain collection and a contemporary or classic interior. Dimensions: * Height: 43 cm. * Width: 15 cm. * Depth: 15 cm. Condition: Very good overall condition considering its age. Some slight signs of wear and discreet wear to the gilding, with no visible restoration.
