Berber carpet beni ouarain ecru with orange geometric lines forming diamonds. The ideal berber rug that will combine with any interior.  The beni ouarain carpet is probably the best known of the berber carpets. It is characterized by its thick wool in ecru tones and by its diamond-shaped geometric patterns, often black or brown. However, they are now found with brightly colored patterns. Originally, the beni ouarain carpet is also characterized by its very large size. Indeed, the beni ouarain tribe comes from the middle atlas, so it is subject to a harsh climate. The carpets were therefore used as mattresses and blankets, we wrapped ourselves in them to sleep and protect ourselves from the cold.  The berber carpet beni ouarain is handmade, by hand on a loom. The wool threads are knotted one after the other, which requires a very long production time, which can range from several days to several months depending on its size.
