A pair of tubular functionalist armchairs with wooden seats and chrome steel frames, made by Kovona np in the 1950s in former Czechoslovakia. Their design is inspired by the iconic model by Mart Stam, later reinterpreted by designers such as Robert Slezák. These armchairs reflect the elegance and simplicity of Bauhaus-influenced aesthetics. They are in very good original condition, with robust frames, well-preserved veneer, and slightly aged chrome. The price is for the pair.
