"Mazarine" chest of drawers with 3 drawers

Commode "Mazarine" made around 1980-1990, it opens with three rows of drawers, made of panels on which paper patterns recall and pastiche the veneer of tortoiseshell and the fluting of bone and ivory. Its top and two side panels have been covered with a thick varnish. On the front, the three drawers are lacquered black and adorned with finely chiselled gilt bronze. It comes with its three keys and locks. Some cracks are noticeable on the varnish at times, and there is a lack of varnish in certain areas, see especially the photos... A rare and beautiful piece of furniture pastiching the spirit of Louis XIV. An extraordinary nod, with a certain decorative effect.
