Mid Century Scandinavian Striped Glass Vase, V. Lindstrand for Kosta, 1950s

Beautiful mid-century modern hand blown glass vase designed by one of the pioneers of Swedish glass Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta glassworks (Sweden, 1950s). This tall elongated vase features a black & purple linear design encased in thick transparent glass. Quite heavy (1.5 kg). A beautiful example of Scandinavian minimalist design. The vase is extremely decorative. Great design & high quality. Signed at bottom: "Kosta LH 1388". Height: 28 cm; width (widest point): 7 cm; depth (widest point): 5 cm. Excellent vintage condition, no chips, no cracks.
