1940s French vintage brass and crystal 4-light chandelier. The chandelier features a four-sided cage formation with four recurve arms that are part of the cage. Each arm leads to a flower-shaped candle drip holder, and the candle drips are made of white plastic. At the top of the chandelier is a cascade of eight small arms, with additional small arms positioned between the arms and the cage. The chandelier hangs from a seven-link chain, bar, and cup-style ceiling fitter. The entire chandelier is adorned with beautiful crystals and glass flowers, creating a mesmerising display. The chandelier is functional, featuring French braided twin-core wiring, and accommodates four small screw-in bulbs (E14). US and Canadian buyers can find adapters to use this chandelier with their E12 bulbs (without needing to change the bulb holders). Please search online for 'E14 to E12' adapter. Some of the braid on the wire is fraying, but the wiring is intact. The brass is in good solid condition with a deep age-related patina. The crystals are complete with no major chips or cracks, though some may have minor nibbles. The candle drips show age-related marks and some wear. We take great care in wrapping our crystal chandeliers, but occasionally some of the crystals may come loose, and it is your responsibility to rehang them, which is usually a simple process.
