Couple of Malagasy busts in dark exotic wood, carved, craftsmanship from the 1940s to 1970s.

Very beautiful pair of busts made from dark exotic hardwood, leaning towards red, probably rosewood from Madagascar, hand-carved, Malagasy artisanal craftsmanship. A couple, woman and man, very nice work, fine details, pieces of good quality. Vintage from the 60s-70s, unsigned. Woman: 21-20 cm in height, 8-9 cm in maximum width, 9 cm in maximum depth. Generally in good condition, both have small natural cracks, discreet, with some more visible defects, notably a chip on the left eyebrow of the woman and cracks on the right side of the face and skull as well as at the front of the man's base. Defects are relatively discreet overall, not detracting from the beauty of this small couple. Approximately 1 kg each. Sold together, inseparable.
