Charming jug (or pitcher) in glazed stoneware, made by the famous potter Jean Paulet in his workshop in Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. This piece features a naturalistic decoration of thistles, finely executed by hand. The contrast between the speckled stoneware in warm tones and the brown graphic of the thistles gives this object a look that is both rustic and very elegant. The shape is generous with a perfectly proportioned handle for a good grip. CHARACTERISTICS: Artist: Jean Paulet (Signature under the decoration). Origin: Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, France. Dimensions: Height 14 cm|Diameter at the widest point 9 cm. Material: Artistic stoneware, glossy glaze. CONDITION: Excellent overall condition. The glaze is shiny, the colours are intact, and there are no chips to report. A sound piece ready to join a table or a collection. An object of character, perfect for serving water, wine, or to be used as a small vase for dried flowers.
