Thistle vase in blue glazed earthenware with refined gold decoration. It was made in the early 20th century in the Art Deco style at the Sainte-Radegonde factory in Tours (Indre-et-Loire), France, founded in 1887 by Gustave Asch (1856-1911). The renowned ceramist Gustave Asch developed the "Tours blue" in 1890 in his workshops, located near the Sèvres porcelain factory. His products enjoyed incredible success thanks to the precision and originality of his work, particularly the perfection of the gold decorations, which stood out exceptionally against the blue background of the glazed earthenware. Sainte-Radegonde products are marked on the base with a shaped axe and a number or letter indicating the decorator. Height: 30 cm. Body diameter: 15 cm. Base diameter: 10 cm.
