Plate with birds and holly in Sarreguemines majolica from the 19th century - Barbotine - Ref 1158

Superb antique barbotine plate from the Sarreguemines pottery, dating from the late 19th century. The relief patterns, the sky blue background, and the scalloped edge give it a lot of charm. It is a collector's item, often displayed as decoration, on a stand or on the wall, and will appeal to any collector of antique barbotine! A wall hanging hook has been glued to the back by its previous owners. Good condition considering its age, no chips or cracks, but signs of wear and missing glaze, mainly around the edge, visible in the photos. Dimensions: Diameter: 20.5 cm; Height: 2 cm.
