Mid-Century Modern Swedish "Chimneys" Vintage Winter Street Scene Oil Painting, Framed

Chimneys. Oil on canvas. Size: 31 X 66 cm (including frame) A very well executed mid century modernist winter street scene composition in oil, painted onto canvas. This charming streetscape features a very textured surface, with several areas of impasto where the artist has worked the surface with thick, blended colours in oil. There is a beautiful juxtaposition between the earthy colours of the houses against the white of the snow. Little chimneys with bellowing smoke peek out along the tops of the houses, creating this very quaint and homely scene. The painting is housed in a light wood frame with an inner linen lined border. Both painting and frame are in good vintage condition. Please note all of the artworks we sell are vintage and unless otherwise stated, their condition is typical for their age.
