Delft – Important polychrome faience parrot, APK mark. Superb and imposing Delft faience parrot, decorated in polychrome with orange, green, and cream tones, featuring a striking naturalistic rendering. The piece rests on a rocky base. APK mark on the reverse (manufacture De Grieksche A, Adrianus Pieter Kocx, Delft, early 18th century). The mark may be apocryphal. Light signs of wear consistent with age. Height 57 cm.
