Large Vallauris dish in polychrome ceramic – parrot decoration – signed

Important decorative plate in glazed ceramic with a rich polychrome design depicting a parrot with outstretched wings, perched amidst stylised exotic foliage. The composition, very dynamic, is distinguished by a vibrant and contrasting palette – greens, yellows, blues, and ochres – standing out against a deep black background, highlighting the relief and the work of the glaze. The treatment of the subject and the foliage evokes the decorative productions of the 20th century, in a spirit that is both exotic and decorative. Wings and plumage finely detailed, border accentuated with a relief decoration in turquoise tones. Marked on the reverse: “DECOR MAIN JTF”, certifying that it was hand-crafted. A very beautiful decorative object, ideal for wall display or as a centrepiece. Diameter: 36 cm. Height: 7 cm. Overall in good condition, with slight signs of use consistent with its nature.
