Vintage Still Life Watercolour Framed - 'The Teapot'

An elegant and gentle still life painted in watercolour. A teapot, a pitcher, a plate of fruits, and a garlic glove are laid on a table setting against a corner of a wall. The artist has chosen a predominately subtle and light colour palette, but has painted the teapot and tomato in rich contrasting shades compared to the rest. There is a great amount of detail in the work; and the delicate effects of the medium of watercolour enhances its overall softness. This watercolour on paper is housed in a white wood frame, and a unique dark blue card mount that picks up the colours of the blue teapot wonderfully. The artwork is glazed (there is a sheet of plexiglass between the frame and the painting) Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition. Size: 58 X 56 cm (including frame).
