Swiss style marquetry commode – Carrara marble top

Swiss-style bombe commode from the 19th century, with a tomb-like silhouette and curved sides. The front features geometric marquetry made up of concentric diamonds alternating between light and dark wood, repeated on the four drawers, the apron, and the base. The top is made of white veined Carrara marble with cut corners. The blackened iron locks are original; the construction of the drawers reveals traditional dovetail joints. Restored by the seller's workshops, the piece has a uniform varnish and is in perfect condition. Some slight signs of restoration remain visible on the sides.
