Large ceramic vase made at the Dieulefit workshop by Jacques Pouchain, France, around the 1960s. This piece is distinguished by its elongated cylindrical shape and a vertically engraved decoration inspired by stylised plant motifs. The dark pattern, applied in relief and incisions, stands out against a subtly textured grey background, characteristic of Dieulefit stoneware. The overall effect offers a sober graphic reading and a pronounced sculptural presence. Representative of Jacques Pouchain's work and the revival of post-war French ceramics, this vase perfectly illustrates the balance between formal rigor, decorative research, and artisanal craftsmanship. It can be displayed alone as a sculptural object or integrated into a contemporary decorative setting. The piece is signed “L’Atelier Dieulefit” under the base. Dimensions. Height: 38 cm. Diameter: 16 cm. Weight. Approximately 3.7 kg. Condition. Very good vintage condition. No chips, no cracks, no restoration. Minor traces related to manufacturing and firing, mainly visible under the base, consistent with artisanal production of this period.
