Antique French stoneware jug, late 19th / early 20th century. Painted decoration in brown/black oxide with rock art inspiration depicting a stylised animal. Thick stoneware with a beautiful patina, salt-fired, with a pinched handle and spout. Likely produced in Puisaye (Burgundy). Very decorative, perfect for a wabi-sabi / chic country decor. Good overall condition considering its age.
