Openwork glazed ceramic candlestick-lantern – Tunisia, 1960s–1980s

Stunning openwork candle holder in handcrafted Tunisian ceramic, featuring a base supporting a bell-shaped shade, handmade in the workshops of Nabeul or Moknine. The hand-carved and openwork design allows the light of a candle to shine through, creating a play of colored shadows. Hand-painted in a warm palette of cobalt blue, green, coral red, and black on a speckled ivory background, typical of Tunisian ceramics from the 1960s to 1980s. Candle not included. Beautiful vintage condition, glossy glaze, light patina. Height 20 cm. Base 8 cm high, 6.5 cm in diameter, bell height 13 cm, bell diameter at widest point 7.5 cm. Candle holder diameter 2 cm.
