An elegant pair of earthenware plates produced in Faenza by the Cooperativa Artigiana Ceramisti Faentini (CACF), Italy. At the end of World War II, thirteen Faenza ceramicists formed a cooperative and founded the "C.A.C.F. " ceramics factory in September 1945, located in the former Farina factory on Via Canal Grande 2. With financial support from the National Liberation Committee and the American association "C.A.D.M.A. " , they launched their production, inspired by the traditional styles of Faenza and the work of the former "Ferniani" factory. The CACF brand was created in 1947, and the cooperative operated under this name for only a very short time, less than 10 years, making its pieces particularly rare and sought-after. The decoration, entirely hand-painted, is inspired by the Asian "Blue Carnation" motif: a blue vase decorated with colorful flowers in vibrant hues (olive green, cobalt blue, brick red, yellow), surrounded by a geometric and floral frieze typical of Faenza earthenware. On the reverse, the handwritten signature CACF Faenza confirms its authenticity. These plates can be hung on the wall (original hanging holes) or used as dessert plates. Beautiful condition – a tiny, discreet chip on one edge, without any impact (see photos). Diameter 14 cm. A rarity for lovers of Italian earthenware.
