3407 – 6 daum florentin service glasses – late 19th century unsigned but well known, these 4 port glasses and 2 goblets from the daum florentin service glassworks from the late 19th century in good condition. No cracks or chips. Beautiful work inspired by very old glassworks. This model also exists with gilding and enameled floral decoration. These glasses are conical in shape in blown glass with venetian ribs, with a baluster leg worked hot with a hollow foot in the model of the glass. The 2 goblets are also cylindrical, taking up the decoration of the leg of the glasses above. Height 107 mm X 53 mm, goblets 83 mm X 61 mm. Weight 690 g. Careful and tracked shipping. For information, the legendary daum glassworks was founded in 1878 by jean daum (1825-1885). His descendants (auguste, antonin, paul, henri, michel, jacques, antoine froissart and pierre de chérisey) succeeded him with the participation of many great glassmakers such as j. Grüber, h. Bergé, a. Walter and the schneider brothers, p. D'avesn...with the arrival of crystal introduced by paul in the 1920s, daum then produced tableware but also free-form pieces. Many talented designers, creators and artists have also contributed to its reputation. All the production is highly sought after and collected, some of which can be seen in museums, including of course the one in nancy. The crystal factory left the daum family in 1985 and was bought out many times.
