Spazio series director's desk with lamp by Studio BBPR for Olivetti, circa 1960

Studio BBPR consisted of four leading names in architecture, urban planning, and design: Gian Luigi Banfi (Milan, 1910 – Gusen 1945), Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso (Milan 1909 – 2004), Enrico Peressutti (Pinzano al Tagliamento, Udine, 1908 – Milan 1976), and Ernesto Nathan Rogers (Trieste 1909 – Gardone, Brescia, 1969). Founded in Milan in 1932. This Spazio series director's desk with lamp was a product of their work in the 1960s. The desk is in good vintage condition with signs of use consistent with age. The faux leather top has a small tear in the middle of the tabletop at the front. Some of the plastic edging on the small cabinet is cracked but this does not affect the functionality or the aesthetic of the piece. The lamp is fully height adjustable and in very good condition with a 3-bulb fitting and original switch. Desk dimensions: Height: 75cm, Width: 160cm, Depth: 80cm.
