Oak Desk by Guillerme & Chambron for Votre Maison, France, 1960s

Desk in solid, heavy oak, with ceramic drawer handles, designed by the French collaborative design duo, Guillerme & Chambron, for 'Votre Mason' ('Your House') Robert Guillerme & Jacques Chambron created a legacy of exquisitely made, high quality design classics of the Mid Twentieth Century. Robert Guillerme studied design and architecture at the École Boulle, Paris, graduating in 1934. Jacques Chambron was a painter and decorator, based on the Rue Nollet in Paris. In 1949 the two men joined forces with the master cabinet maker, Émile Dariosecq, who produced their designs. The three men together founded 'Votre Maison'. Perfect condition, no stains or marks. A very handsome, almost architectural classic of the Mid Twentieth Century.
