Elegant brush pot, quite rare, Korea, in the style of scholar objects from the Joseon dynasty, vintage mid-20th century, 1940s-60s, made of white/grey reticulated porcelain with fine celadon glaze, cylindrical shape and geometric openwork decoration. The quality of the glaze, the elegant simplicity of the form, as well as the openwork decoration evoke the productions of the Joseon dynasty, intended for scholars and calligraphy workshops. The base bears a blue underglaze calligraphic mark, probably a character of hanja tradition, applied freely with a brush before firing; it is worth noting that it is rare for this type of object to be marked. Beautiful proportions, with a height of 15.5cm and a diameter of 12cm. Very good overall condition, appearing new despite its age, with a slight area of glaze crazing on one edge that slightly betrays its antiquity, as well as a chip under the base, which is invisible when placed.
