Buffet Enfilade Style Louis XVI – Walnut and Veneer – Early 20th Century

Louis XVI Revival sideboard, estimated production from the early 20th century, made of solid walnut with walnut veneer. The veneer on the two large lower doors is treated in symmetrical sheets (book-match), revealing flamboyant grains with warm golden and amber reflections. The piece rests on four turned spindle feet, topped with a ring and finished with gilded brass sabot, characteristic of the neoclassical repertoire. The corners are structured by fluted columns with moulded capitals and bases. The upper part features three drawers equipped with patinated bronze rosette handles and a central lock supplied with its key. The two lower doors are also fitted with functional locks with keys. The interior of the lower body presents two levels of storage separated by an adjustable shelf and a central partition, with well-preserved interior wood. The whole has been completely stripped and revarnished by the seller's workshops. Dimensions: H. 86.5 cm × W. 130 cm × D. 52.5 cm. Weight: 60 kg.
