Extraordinary leather wastepaper basket with rivets, an old bucket that was found filled with sand at the edge of theatre stages in the early 20th century in case of fire. In the 1960s, the Hermès house created a wastepaper basket in thick, colourful leathers inspired by this famous theatre bucket, which had been forgotten. A small anchor engraved on the outside of the base attests to the property of the firefighters. But more beautiful than anything, the handwritten dedication "to the friend of love always" is intended for Pierre Blanchar, a very famous actor of the time.
