This rectangular coffee table is made of chrome-plated steel. The formal vocabulary belongs to a modernist tradition, based on the reduction of the object to a metal structure and a glass top. The combination of chrome, glass, and strict geometry, widely adopted and industrialised during the 1960s to 1980s, along with its low height, generous sections, and mirror finish, more accurately corresponds to 1970s living room furniture. No markings, labels, or model references have been observed. The piece is therefore presented as an anonymous production from the period. The design is based on a particularly legible orthogonal composition. A wide upper frame, mitred and polished to a mirror finish, surrounds a clear glass top inserted into the central opening. Four square-section legs extend this frame without marked recess and provide a stable base, while the height of 33 cm maintains a low profile suitable for living room furniture. The removable top retains great transparency and lightens the apparent mass of the structure. The structure is stable and retains a shiny chrome finish on the visible surfaces. It shows fine scratches and some signs of use. The underside displays pitting and diffuse oxidation, which are invisible when the table is in place. The glass has several scratches and superficial marks visible in low light; no significant chips or deep scratches are to be reported. Overall, the piece is in good usable condition, with documented alterations consistent with its age. — Dimensions: H 33 × W 121 × D 61 cm. Weight: 30 kg.
