Antique brass thumb candle holder

Authentic gilded brass thumb candle holder, late 19th and early 20th century. Rectangular base and finely chiseled details around the edge. This type of candle holder was once used to move around with a candle in hand - its side ring (thumb ring) made it easy to carry from one room to another. Today, it adds a charming, old-fashioned touch to a rustic, country chic decor.
