Covered basket in black wicker 1900 - bressan market basket

This beautiful old basket is a market basket. In the countryside, it was intended for the transport of poultry and rabbits. This basket, called "bressan", is made of black braided wicker. This beautiful object of folk art is of good quality and in good general condition. It dates from the 1900s and measures 35 X 25 cm. I report traces of wear on this basket: fragility and gaps in the wicker in some places; the hinges and clasps made of leather and wicker are damaged.
